We believe that participation in a range of educational trips and visits is important for students. Not only does it enhance classroom learning, it offers an opportunity to develop friendships and enjoy new experiences.
Students in all year groups will have as many opportunities as possible each year to access a range of trips, visits and workshops delivered by external speakers. This helps to enrich the curriculum and add greater relevance to some parts of courses.
Some of our trips and visits have become fixtures on our annual calendar: the annual ski trip to Italy; language exchange trips to Germany and Spain and the GCSE Business Studies trip to Disneyland Paris to name a few. The single most important one, however, is the 1 night Y8 Residential Trip to Castlewellan in the Autumn Term as it creates such important opportunities for our new Y8 students to build friendships and learn new skills.
