The school is involved in a range of activities and partnerships with schools and other educational institutions on a local, national and international scale. Through these links we are able to share best practice, develop still further the skills of our teaching staff and most importantly enrich the learning experience of our pupils.

The breadth and value of our work in the international dimension was recognised by the British Council when the school was awarded the prestigious International School Award at Intermediate Level in May 2008.

Some of these activities include:

• Comenius – a learning partnership with schools in Latvia, Germany and Cyprus, widening cultural experiences of both pupils and staff
• Dissolving Boundaries – link with a school in County Wexford through music and ICT
• Fundraising and charity collections for international initiatives and causes
